About Us

The Junior Science and Maths Quiz (JSMQ), organised by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), is a quiz competition at the Junior High School level,  designed to promote STEM education among basic school students by whipping up pupils’ interest, especially females, in STEM and unearthing young talents.

The test phase of the programme began in 2019 with 12 junior high schools from the Ashanti region, and the number has now reached over 201 schools in four regions of the nation.
