Heavenly Royals Preparatory JHS and Sacred Heart JHS Make Debut at JSMQ 2025 Nationals

The Bono Region has made its first-ever appearance and participation in the National Championship of the Junior Science and Maths Quiz (JSMQ) 2025, marking an exciting milestone in the history of the competition. This year’s regional qualifiers, the first to be hosted in the Bono Region, witnessed an impressive display of intellect, teamwork, and competitive spirit from participating schools.

In the first regional qualifier, three outstanding schools, Heavenly Royals Preparatory JHS, Yiadom Boakye Demonstration ‘A’ Basic School, and Subinso R/C ‘A’ Basic School, faced off in a thrilling contest. After four intense rounds, Heavenly Royals Preparatory JHS emerged victorious, securing their spot at the National Championship with an impressive performance.

The final qualifier featured another fierce academic battle among Abrefa M/A Basic School (Wenchi), Sacred Heart JHS, and Nyamaa Basic School. At the end of the contest, Sacred Heart JHS triumphed to claim the second and final national qualification slot from the Bono Region.

The two schools, Heavenly Royals Preparatory JHS and Sacred Heart JHS, have now earned the honour of representing the Bono Region for the first time at the National Championship of the Junior Science and Maths Quiz 2025.
