JSMQ Board Chair Sends Well-Wishes as 2025 Championship Nears
The Board Chairman of the Junior Science and Maths Quiz (JSMQ), Professor Kwasi Preko, has extended his best wishes to all participating schools as the 2025 National Championship prepares to take off from 1st to 6th December 2025 at the CCB Auditorium, KNUST.
This year’s competition will bring together 27 schools from eight regions, Northern, Central, Western, Greater Accra, Eastern, Bono, Volta, and Ashanti, to contest for the national title and the accompanying bragging rights.

Professor Preko expressed confidence that the 2025 edition will stand out due to the increasing regional diversity of participants.
“We are expecting this year’s quiz to be one of a kind. The inclusion of more regions shows the growing impact and relevance of the competition,” he said.
He noted that the JSMQ Board is working to ensure full participation from all 16 regions in future editions.
“Plans are underway to make the championship fully national. We want every region represented, and every talented student given the chance to shine,” he added.
Wishing the contestants well, he said:
“We hope to see brilliant performances from all schools. We wish them the very best and may the best school win.”
